Modern heroes flying behind the church of St. Agnes in piazza Navona, designed by Francesco Borromini in the 1650s. The Italian name of the Basilica is Sant'Agnese in Agone, a hint to the origin of the piazza as a stadium in ancient Rome.
From time to time I take pictures of Rome, the place where I was born. Through them, I would like to share my personal Imago Urbis ("Picture of Rome"). When in Rome next time, feel free to use this site as a sort of visual tourist guide to discover a few unusual viewpoints.
