Aurelian Walls along corso Italia

The external side of the Aurelian Walls near Porta Pinciana, once bordering vineyards, in the heavy trafic of corso Italia in a wet December morning. The Walls were built by Emperor Aurelius around 275 AD and later reinforced to defend the city from invasions.
